In an effort to provide life-giving care to those who need it, Windhaven House and Windhaven Counseling will remain open. Our team is committed to the safety and the well-being of each patient, and we recognize that people with substance use disorders and their families may need us more than ever. We will continue to accept new patients and provide an environment in which each individual’s health is the top priority.
As a whole, we have implemented precautions to lessen the opportunity for exposure to COVID-19. In order to accomplish this, we have executed the following safety procedures:
We will continue to monitor information and implement recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as state and local public health authorities.
In order to ensure the safety of our patients and staff, we have temporarily suspended all in-person alumni events. In these uncertain times, Windhaven would like to remind our alumni to stay connected. There are lots of ways to do this virtually – our Alumni Community is active on the Origins Connect App, and you can join the app now by texting “ORIGINS” to 555888. Our bi-weekly “Life in the 12” webinar will be shifting to a weekly event hosted every Wednesday at 11:30A CST/12:30P EST. We encourage you to listen to our previous webinars, as well as our Podcast “Origins: Something More”, co-hosted by Florida Alumni Director Cara O’Neill, for additional strength and hope. Please see the links below for accessing these resources. As always, our Alumni Team remains accessible by phone any time you need extra support.
Support is an essential part of the recovery journey. Before heading to a recovery meeting, it is crucial to evaluate your overall health. Because the virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, between people who are in close contact with one another, taking precautions can limit exposure to the virus and ensure safety to yourself and others. Below are steps you can take to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
Windhaven will continue to monitor COVID-19, as well as prepare an environment that is safe for all current and future patients. We understand the risk of social isolation for those with substance use disorders, and while necessary during this time, we also are here to provide a clear path to healing and restoration. Our admissions specialists are always available to talk about help for you or a loved one. They can be reached at (877) 373-9898.
